If I had access to those 800-1 machines I would strongly consider using your system, but I'm one of those that wouldn't handle it very well if I hit a 250 coin royal. There are some strategy adjustments that are a bit different than regular DW.Say your dealt 2 deuces and A, and if the other 2 cards don't make a pat hand or 4 to the wild royal, you keep the 2 deuces with the A. I hate going for inside straights too, that's probably why I like BDW. When it triggers, you get a prompt displaying your current winnings and the amount that. I hate going for inside straights anyway. They have a ton of these machines at the AmeriStar Casino in Black Hawk. Haven't looked for them in Biloxi. I'll have to give it a try next week. Sure would be nice to hit a quad deuce with a kicker for 2,000 coins!  An interesting side note to your post about the royal bonus. There is a small casino in Miami that offers short coin play without a big royal penalty.  The max coin royal payout is still 4,000 coins but the royal is prorated so the single coin royal is 800 coins and the rest are somewhere in between. I've never seen that anywhere else. This bonus feature can double your winnings at hand.
